Cystic Fibrosis is a life-altering genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of Americans. Caused by a mutation in the CFTR gene, CF triggers the body to produce abnormally thick, sticky mucus that builds up in the lungs, digestive system, and other vital organs. Over time, this leads to chronic infections, severe respiratory decline, and permanent organ damage. While there is no cure, advances in treatment continue to give hope to countless families fighting this disease every day.
A significant portion of proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Last year, through the generosity of this community, we raised over $130,000, making this one of the largest private philanthropy events in the state of Mississippi and the single largest Beta Theta Pi philanthropy event in the entire country.
